Frosty Morning Bluegrass featuring Kenny Sidle – A local bluegrass band. They play at the Barn on York on Route 16 in Pataskala every Monday night. Violinist Kenny Sidle, is a well known favorite and lives in Newark. Kenny is also listed in the National archives! See this web link:

Dapple Grays – A “new grass” band from Atlanta, Georgia.
They have had many accomplishments over the past five years including being named Best Bluegrass Band in Atlanta by Creative Loafing Magazine and being featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine as well as having several original songs played on MTV. Most recently the band was the featured entertainment for FOX 5’s broadcast of the 2006 Peachtree Road Race. They have also had the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in acoustic music, including the Del McCoury Band, Mountain Heart, Ronnie Bowman, Larry Cordle, and David Grier. Now, with an exciting new configuration and direction, The Dappled Grays are focused on creating an original, distinctive sound fueled by their exceptional songwriting and musical ability.

Andy Carlson Band
– A "new grass" quintet pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with acoustic instruments in a traditional setting.
The Andy Carlson Band performs music ranging from traditional Old-Time Appalachian, Bluegrass, Swing, Blues, "New" Grass, Classical, and Contemporary Acoustic. Fiddler/Violinist Andy Carlson has twice been named the Georgia State Champion Fiddler and was the 2000 Ohio Grand Champion fiddler. He has earned a BMUS and MM from The University of Georgia and a doctorate in Violin Performance from the University of Iowa. The New York Times described him as a "demon fiddler." Andy is currently an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Music Department at Denison University in Granville, OH. The Andy Carlson Band members (from the Atlanta, GA area) are Michael Smith on Mandolin, Greg Earnest on Banjo, Casey Cook on Guitar, and Keith Morris on Bass.

Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra – Formed in July 2005, The Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra (NGSO) is committed to providing outstanding symphonic entertainment for the residents of Licking County. The orchestra boasts more than 75 outstanding professional musicians from throughout Licking County and Central Ohio.

Maestro Timothy Weiss, now starting his second season as Music Director of the Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra, is Professor of Conducting and Chair of the Division of Conducting and Ensembles at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He holds degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels, from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan. An active guest conductor, he has conducted recent concerts in New York City and San Francisco, and has appeared with the Toledo Symphony, the Quad City Symphony, San Angelo Orchestra of the Nacional Association de Conciertos in Panama City and at the Almeida Festival in London.
